Why this site exists
A place to record what I'm building on the layout, and why.

The Westgate Hollow control system has grown into four separate projects: an orchestration backend and operator UI, a DCC command station, a set of feedback nodes and a handheld throttle. Each has its own repository, and the commit history records what changed, but not why I went one way rather than another.
This site is where that goes. It’s mostly a record for myself:
- The log tracks progress. I’ll add a post when enough has happened, or when something particularly interesting gets finished.
- Projects describe each part of the system and how it fits with the others.
- Decisions record the design choices, what else I considered, and what tipped it.
Photos of the layout will follow once I’ve managed to take some decent ones.
